I had the idea of getting in on the Uplift Universe challenge, but just didn't have the time to really get into it. This started off as a quick conceptual head sculpt that I liked so I decided to model the full character. I had the idea of a grey alien in my head, but wanted to push it further and stray a bit from the typical grey. A lot of inspiration was found in imagery of deep sea fish.
